IACUC

The Beni-Suef University, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) oversees the University's animal care and use program ensuring the appropriate care and use of animals used for research, testing and teaching.

The IACUC is also responsible for reviewing and approving requests to use vertebrate and aquatic animals, and ensuring compliance with the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals 8th Edition 2011 (the Guide). In addition, the IACUC inspects all areas where animals are housed and used, and oversees training and educational programs. The IACUC serves as an information resource on animal welfare concerns for institutional personnel and community.
