Regulations & Curricula
For the first degree

(Bachelor's Degree)

First: General Provisions:

Article (1): The University of Beni Suef shall be granted at the request of the Faculty of Physical Therapy the bachelor degree in physical therapy.

Article (2): The study system depends on the semester that the study is over five years with a total of ten semesters (two semesters for the academic year) in addition to the year of excellence
 (12 months clinical training) is a compulsory training year in the therapeutic hospitals under the joint supervision between the Faculty of Physical Therapy and the Faculty of Medicine and does not allow the graduate to practice the profession only after the completion of the year.

Article (3): The basic language of study is English.

Article (4): New students shall not be accepted until after passing a personal test subject by the College in accordance with the rules established by the College Council.

Article (5): Graduation roles annually are the role of May and the role of September.

Article (6): Students who fail in two subjects at the most are allowed to enter the exams for exams which are held once in September of each year. The transfer of the students to the higher division and the transfer of the students of the fifth year to the year of excellence shall not be a failure in any subject. Accepted in the materials successfully completed in the exam.

Article (7): The student's success is required to obtain at least 60% of the great end of the material.

Article (8): The provisions of the Universities Law and its Executive Regulations shall apply, except as provided in this Regulation.

Article (9): The year of compulsory licensing is distributed to the following medical specialties:

Spend a period of (2) months in Department of Orthopedics.
Spend a period of (2) months in Department of Neurology.
Spend a period of (2) months in Department of Pediatrics.
Spend a period of (1) month in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Spend 1 month in intensive care ( IC ) Departments.
Spend a period of (1) month in the departments of Abdominal surgery & Specialty Cardiology.
Spend 1 month in surgery, skin and burns.
Spend a period of (2) months optional.
Article (10): Admission to the College must be obtained by the Department of Science or its equivalent or any other qualifications approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.

Article (11):  Faculty of Physical Therapy University of Beni Suef consists of the following sections:

1- Department of Basic Sciences: The Department includes the following units:

      - Unit of motor and manual therapy

- Hydrotherapy Unit

Unit of Tests and Metrology

- Biomechanics Unit

The department supervises the teaching of the following subjects:

Electrical Therapy - Life Sciences - Bioinformatics - Hydrotherapy - Laws and Ethics - English Language and Medical Terminology - Psychology - Medical Statistics - Hospital Management - Principles of Scientific Research - Tests and Measures - Therapeutic Exercises - Principles of Manual Therapy - Exercise Physiology - Principles of Sociology - Principles of Political Science - Principles of Scientific Writing - Motion Science - Biomechanics - Mechanics of work.

2 - Department of Physical Therapy of Batna: The section includes the following units:

- Physiotherapy unit for cardiology, chest and intensive care

   - Physiotherapy unit for internal and elderly diseases

  - Physiotherapy unit for skin and membranes.

The department supervises the following subjects:

Diseases of Cardiology &  Elderly - Chest Diseases - Cardiology Surgery & Chest - Radiology (1) - Physiotherapy Abdominal & Elderly - Physiotherapy Cardiology & Chest - Principles of Nutrition - Natural Treatment of Cardiology & Chest Surgery - First Aid - Clinical Pathology - Dissection (2) - Biochemistry (2,1) - Rheumatology - Histology - General Surgery and burns - Skin Diseases - Physiotherapy of Skin & Membranes - Community Medicine.

3 - Department of physical therapy for bones: The section includes the following units:

   Physical Therapy Unit

 - Unit of fractions and artificial limbs

The department supervises the following subjects:

Anatomy (1) - Pharmacology - Injury science - Orthopedic surgery - Physical therapy of bone - Radiology (2) - Stitches and prostheses

4 - Department of Physiotherapy for the nerves: The section includes the following units:

Physiotherapy Unit for Neurology

- Physiotherapy unit for neurosurgery and spinal surgery

The department supervises the following subjects:

Anatomy of the nervous system - Physiology of the nervous system - Neurological diseases - Physiotherapy of the nerves - Neurosurgery - Mental diseases - Principles of motor control - Radiology (3) - Pathology

5 - Department of Physical Therapy for Women's and Children's Health: The section includes the following units.

- Physiotherapy unit for neurological diseases for children

- Physiotherapy unit for bones, chest and heart diseases for children

- Physiotherapy unit for women's health

The department supervises the following subjects:

Pediatrics - Pediatric Surgery - Human Genetics - Growth and Development - Physical Therapy for Children - Disabled Psychology - Principles of Speech Science - Clinical Functional Therapy - Principles of Business Administration - Effective Communication Skills - Gynecology and Obstetrics
