• Origin of the unit
Crisis and Risk Management Unit was established as one of the outputs of the project of continuous development and qualification for accreditation with the approval of the College Council which was renewed by a decision of the Council of Science College at its meeting No. (263) on 10/10/2018.
• Unit's vision
There should be a unit capable of managing crises and risks by all means and techniques of high level to reach the total level of crisis management standards in accordance with international standards.
• Unit's Mission
1- To provide security and safety at the Faculty of Science including facilities and individuals and so on.
2. Awareness of safety for all individuals.
3 - Awareness of good behavior in crises.
4 - instilling civilizational behavior in security, safety and crisis management.
• Unit's objectives
The objectives of the unit are concentrated in:
1. Training courses on fire extinguishing.
2. Workshops of civil defense and fire experts.
3. Workshops of medical observation for first aid.
• Functions of the Unit
1- Managing crises within the college and training on how to deal with the crisis.
2 - instilling civilizational behavior in security, safety and crisis management.
• Achievements of the unit:
1. Fire extinguishers were installed in laboratories, halls and terraces of roads inside the building.
2. Courses were held on how to store chemicals, disaster and disaster management courses, security and safety courses, as well as environmental week courses, during which first aid education and fire guidance were taught.
3. A number of activities were carried out jointly with those responsible for the other standards.
