In light of the activities of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm El Sheikh under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, participated in a workshop on the challenges and dangers of blockchain technology  In the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and a number of university presidents and financial experts, in order to introduce "Block Chain" technology, and to highlight its components, methods of its application, its uses and challenges which  facing its application Dr. Mansour pointed out that "block chain" technology has become able to reformulate the structure of financial, commercial and service transactions in all economic sectors, by using a secure digital records to   record bank transactions, which has been distributed to several different users, so all parties will be able to track information via a secure network, without the need for an intermediary, unlike the traditional system
He added that the workshop discussed the challenges facing block chain technology at the international level, most notably  in the shortage of local  legislation which  regulate  its use, noting that both China and the United States of America have developed the necessary legislation to regulate the work of this technology
In addition to reviewing a number of applications in which blockchain technology is used, such as the Smart Cities Initiative, which is intended to transfer and perform government services through blockchain, banks, and financial services, pointing out that one of the most famous countries that have made great progress in this matter is the United Arab Emirates , And Singapore
