Activities of the Seminar “Choosing a Life Partner Between Mind and Heart”

As part of the presidential program *“Mawadda”*, the Faculty of Applied Arts organized an awareness seminar titled *“Choosing a Life Partner Between Mind and Heart”*. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, and the supervision of Prof. Hamada Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Abu El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Diaa El-Din Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Fatma Ahmed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Hossam El-Hawary, General Coordinator of Student Activities; and Prof. Ahmed Farouk, General Coordinator of the “Students for Egypt” Family.
The seminar was organized and implemented by Dr. Nermeen Atef, Student Activities Coordinator and Coordinator of the “Students for Egypt” Family at the Faculty, along with Mr. Ahmed Sayed, Director of Youth Welfare.
The “Students for Egypt” Family at the Faculty of Applied Arts organized the seminar on Sunday, November 16, 2025, under the title: *“Choosing a Life Partner: Between Mind and Heart.”* The event comes within the framework of the “Mawadda” presidential program, which aims to raise community awareness about the importance of building stable Egyptian families.
The seminar was delivered by Prof. Mokhless Ramadan Belieh, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Developmental Social Work. He discussed the psychological and social foundations of choosing a life partner, emphasizing the importance of balancing emotion and reason in making such a crucial decision. He also highlighted the key challenges facing young people in this context and ways to address them.
The seminar witnessed notable attendance from faculty members, including Dr. Samah Ali, Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Printing, along with several teaching assistants and students who actively engaged with the seminar topics through meaningful discussions and contributions.
This event reflects the university’s commitment to supporting national initiatives and enhancing family awareness among young people, contributing to the building of a cohesive and stable society.
