Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University; Professor Dr. Hamada Mahmoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mekawy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication; and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Nesreen Hossam El-Din, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Shahenda Atef, Head of the Radio and Television Department; and Dr. Ahmed Attia, Coordinator of the English Language Division; with the supervision of Ms. Sara El-Sherif, Teaching Assistant of the Division, students of the Faculty of Mass Communication concluded the activities of the “Movie Club” for the first semester by screening a selection of distinguished short films.
Among the screenings was a short film by the student Zain Mohamed entitled “Awlad Ali”, in addition to the film “Home Alone,” which was in line with the Christmas atmosphere. A number of faculty students attended the screening to view and discuss the productions, thereby enhancing students’ practical and creative skills in cinematic, radio, and television production, enabling them to experience public screenings before an audience, and contributing to the refinement of their artistic abilities and the development of their critical and creative sense in visual content creation.
In this regard, the Dean of the Faculty affirmed that such initiatives fall within the faculty’s strategy to link academic study with practical application and to prepare a generation of media professionals capable of handling various forms of media production in a professional and innovative manner.
