Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University Participates in the Conference “Together to Confront Hate Speech.”

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, and Professor Dr. Mamdouh Makawy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, a delegation from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University participated in the conference entitled “Together to Confront Hate Speech,” which was organized by the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta, the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, and the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).

The Faculty was represented at the conference by Dr. Yosra Akoush, Lecturer in the Journalism Department, who participated in the activities of the working group concerned with media, drama, and confronting hate speech, alongside Dr. Mahira Emad, Assistant Professor in the Journalism Department; Dr. Zeinab Mohamed, Lecturer in the Radio and Television Department; Dr. Jihad Abdel-Maqsoud, Lecturer in the Journalism Department; and Dr. Esraa Hassan, Lecturer in the Public Relations and Advertising Department.

The participation of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University comes within the framework of its keenness to play an active role in contemporary societal issues and to contribute to academic and professional efforts aimed at confronting hate speech and promoting a culture of dialogue and tolerance.
