 the announcement for the 2018-2019 Hubert H. Humphrey Program, which provides one-year, fully-funded, professional development fellowships in the U.S.

 

The Humphrey Program is offered to young and mid-career professionals who have a proven track record of leadership and a commitment to public service. Humphrey Fellows participate in a program of independent non-degree study at a leading U.S. university, in addition they attend enrichment seminars, workshops and conferences, meetings with U.S. counterparts in their fields of specialization, as well as a professional affiliation with a U.S. organization of their choice.

 

The deadline for applying is July 15, 2017 and applications are completed on-line at the following link (with supporting documents): https://iie.embark.com/apply/humphreyfellowship.

 

This year, the Commission will be accepting applications in 15 different eligible fields:

 
  1. Agricultural and Rural Development
  2. Economic Development
  3. Finance and Banking
  4. Human Resource Management
  5. Natural Resources, Environmental Policy and Climate Change
  6. Urban and Regional Planning
  7. Communications/Journalism
  8. Law and Human Rights
  9. Public Policy Analysis and Public Administration
  10. Educational Administration, Planning and Policy
  11. Higher Education Administration
  12. Public Health Policy and Management
  13. Substance Abuse Education, Treatment and Prevention
  14. Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) (this is a newly eligible field for Egypt)
  15. Technology Policy and Management (this is a newly eligible field for Egypt)

 

I addition, we will be holding three in-house information sessions at the Fulbright office (21 Amer st., Dokki, Giza, Egypt):

 

  • May 4, 2017 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm
  • May 17, 2017 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm
  • May 24, 2017 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm
