Beni-Suef University is the 9th locally and 1386 Globally according to URAP classification

Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of Beni-Suef University said that the university ranked the 9th place among the Egyptian universities and 1386 in the world according to the URAP 2017 classification.
The university president said that the URAP classification ranks the best 2000 universities worldwide according to academic performance.This classification dates back to the year 2009 at the Research Laboratory, Institute of Informatics at the Middle East Technical University. It aims to develop the university classification system at the level of academic performance determined by the quality and quantity of scientific publication using new and improved indicators for both the general ranking and some specialized areas.
The Rector pointed out that the university is the first Egyptian university to establish a city of science and technology research, consisting of 24 research institutes, ten of which have been completed and the rest will be completed according to the strategic plan of the university in 2020, adding that the city includes a large number of international researchers, that is reflected on the progress of society and the university surrounding environment and our country.
 Dr. Tarif Shawky, Vice-President for Graduate Studies and Research added that the university spares no effort in supporting researchers and encouraging them to overcome all obstacles facing them in their scientific journey.
