President of Beni-Suef University : The Supreme Council of Universities approves on establishing a department of population studies at the Faculty of Arts

Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy, President of Beni-Suef University announced the approval of the Supreme Council of Universities, during its session held on 22/4/2017, on establishing a department for population studies at the Faculty of Arts at the levels of undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and the issuance of the necessary ministerial decision in this regard.
 Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy confirmed that the Faculty of Arts has many scientific staff in the departments of sociology and geography, that enables it to teach programs for population studies. He explained that the college has many theatres equipped with electronic projectors and a computer lab. Training students on programs in the field of population, in addition to the benefit of faculty members in some other faculties of the university such as Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
Prof. Dr. / Amin Lotfy noted that the university will coordinate with public local bodies working in the field of population to obtain technical support for the department such as the National Population Council, the United Nations Fund for Population Activities, the Population Policy Department of the League of Arab States, the Arab Labor Organization, The United Nations Development Program and the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
