The President of Beni Suef University attends the 90th educational seminar for the Popular and Military Defense Forces

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, witnessed today the activities of the ninetieth educational seminar organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces in cooperation with the Military Education Department at the university, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, Major General Staff Officer Hisham Hosni Hassan, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, Brigadier General Ahmed Mahdi, Assistant Commander of the Popular Defense Forces for Military Education, Dr. Jean Henry Hanna, President of Beni Suef Technological University, Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President of the University for Community Service, Dr. Ashraf Omar, Vice President of Nahda University, Brigadier General Mohamed Barai, Military Advisor, Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Department, representatives of Al-Azhar and the Egyptian Church, and a number of deans of faculties and faculty members, amidst a remarkable attendance of students.
The symposium's activities included a play entitled "The Factory of Men" performed by the university's theater troupe, a sports show designed by the university's College of Sports Sciences, outstanding musical performances by the university's choir, solo poetry, and a lecture by Major General Samir Abdel Ghani entitled "Regional and International Risks".
During his speech, the university president affirmed that the symposium aims to build and shape national awareness and consolidate the values ??of loyalty and belonging among students. This is achieved by hosting a select group of specialists to confront all attempts to distort thought and falsify awareness sought by the enemies of the nation. He praised the role of the Popular and Military Defense Forces and their long and honorable history of heroic deeds in preserving the homeland and its resources, and their efforts in protecting the country's internal front by emphasizing constant readiness to confront crises and strengthening the spirit of loyalty and belonging among the various sectors of Egypt's youth in schools and universities. This calls us all to be proud of this important sector of the great armed forces.
The university president urged his students to work hard and instill good values ??in their behavior, and to develop values ??of sincerity and loyalty to the homeland. He emphasized the university's keenness to implement many serious activities, such as organizing seminars for prominent figures in thought, religion, science, politics, art, and sports to achieve these enlightening goals, and organizing competitions and activities that help students discover and develop their talents and abilities in various fields. This achieves one of the most important goals of the Vision for Sustainable Development plan: knowledge, innovation, and scientific research, as it is one of the basic pillars of development. This is emphasized by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who always stresses the importance of building the human being and investing in human resources, especially the youth, given the high energies and capabilities they possess that achieve prosperity and progress for our dear Egypt.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Hani expressed his highest appreciation and pride to the valiant armed forces, the institution and source of patriotism, and the impregnable fortress of the homeland, which did not merely protect the borders and preserve sovereignty, but extended its giving to building minds, instilling values, and creating awareness, so that it may always remain, as history intended, the shield and sword of the homeland, and the symbol of its discipline, strength, and unity. He commended the great role played by the Popular and Military Defense Forces in organizing these educational seminars at the level of Egyptian universities, as these seminars are not merely meetings, but rather conscious intellectual battles that fortify the minds of our youth against misinformation and doubt, and deepen their understanding of the reality of the state’s efforts and achievements in building the future.
During his speech, Major General Staff Officer Hisham Hosni, Chief of Staff of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, conveyed the greetings of Lieutenant General Abdel-Magid Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, and stressed that building a conscious Egyptian citizen is the basic pillar for protecting the homeland and confronting current challenges. He pointed out that the seminars come within the framework of the Armed Forces’ strategy to enhance national awareness among young people and immunize them against attempts at doubt and misinformation that target the stability of the state and its identity. He noted that Egypt is facing today new types of wars that target minds before bodies and use soft tools such as media and technology to undermine confidence and belonging.
He stressed that the youth of Egypt are the impregnable fortress in the face of these challenges, and that they are capable of carrying the banner of the nation. He also called on students to hold fast to awareness and belonging, to be careful to obtain information from its correct sources, and not to be swayed by rumors or systematic campaigns that aim to undermine their resolve.
The events concluded with honoring the families of martyrs, people with disabilities, and outstanding students. Shields were also exchanged between Dr. Tariq Ali, President of the University, and Major General Hisham Hosni Hassan in appreciation of the fruitful cooperation between the University and the Popular and Military Defense Forces.
