About the department

Overview of the Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Department:
The Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry is one of the basic departments at the College of Pharmacy. It specializes in the study of the chemistry of organic compounds with pharmaceutical significance, focusing on the design, synthesis, and analysis of drug compounds, as well as studying their relationship with biological and pharmacological properties. The department aims to equip students with the scientific foundations and laboratory skills necessary to understand the structure of drugs and their physical and chemical properties.

The department contributes to preparing pharmacists and researchers who are scientifically and practically qualified, capable of working in the fields of scientific research, pharmaceutical industries, quality control, and drug development. Additionally, the department actively participates in scientific research by conducting advanced studies in the synthesis of new compounds with potential biological activity and publishing them in international scientific journals, as well as supervising master's and doctoral theses.

The department is keen to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of pharmaceutical organic chemistry and to apply advanced technologies, contributing to supporting the educational and research process and serving the community.
