Celebrating World Oral and Dental Health Day

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, and Professor Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Ahmed Fathallah Shawqi, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, and Professor Dr. Mazen Ahmed Attia, Vice President of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, a Today, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, we celebrate World Oral and Dental Health Day at the Faculty of Dentistry at Beni Suef University, sponsored by the International Dental Federation (FDI) This celebration coincided with the activities of the Environmental Week at the university, and is considered part of the main activities provided by the university to serve the Suwaifi community. Dr. Sherine Shaaban, a lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, organized and supervised the day’s activities. A large number of patients, including the elderly and children, were examined  for free An educational seminar was also held on oral and dental health, introducing the best methods of oral care and teeth cleaning. Awareness brochures about oral health were distributed, in addition to free samples of toothpaste and toothbrushes. The celebration also included entertainment for children, and the students who provided volunteer services during the day were honored. The college administration extends its thanks and appreciation to Dr. Nahawand Thabet, Regional Director for Africa at FDI, and Unilever, for their support and sponsorship of today’s events
