Under the patronage of Prof.Dr.Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University; Khaled El-Nesr, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni Suef University; and Nermeen Atef El-Shimy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Ethics Committee for the Care and Use of Experimental Animals in Research and Education at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Beni Suef University, organized a workshop today under the chairmanship of Mohamed Abdelrahman El-Babli, Professor of Hygiene and Zoonotic Diseases at the Faculty.
The workshop was honored by the presence of Abdel Latif Hisham, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Beni Suef University; Mahmoud El-Begawy, Professor of Pathology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; and Dr. Ramadan Tawfik from the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Beni Suef.
The workshop included scientific lectures delivered by Dr. Fatma Abu El-Ela, Dr. Asmaa Kamal, and Dr. Manar Bahaa, followed by an open discussion with the speakers, faculty members, and attending students.
The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the standards of the Ethics Committee, the procedures for ensuring ethical approval of animal use protocols, developing skills in handling experimental animals, highlighting key aspects of international publication related to research ethics, and ensuring the safe disposal of laboratory animals and related waste.
