A New Step Toward Improving Learning Outcomes: The First Meeting of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Science

As a new step toward enhancing the quality of education at the Faculty of Science by improving learning outcomes, the Board of Directors of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Science, Beni Suef University, met today after the approval of its formation by the Faculty Council, under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Wael Hazin, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of the members of the Board.

The Dean of the Faculty began the meeting by extending congratulations to Dr. Hanan Badawy on her appointment as Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, and to Dr. Dina Abdel-Gawad on her assignment as Deputy Director of the Unit, wishing them success in their new responsibilities and expressing confidence in their ability to develop the measurement and evaluation system in a way that serves the educational process at the faculty.

The meeting then discussed mechanisms for developing and improving learning outcomes and spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation among faculty members, in a manner that ensures fairness in assessment, raises the quality level of graduates, and aligns with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards. The discussion also emphasized the role of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit in supporting academic programs and updating assessment tools to keep pace with the requirements of modern university education in the era of digital transformation.

The Dean of the Faculty affirmed during the meeting the administration’s commitment to providing full support to the unit, considering it one of the fundamental pillars for ensuring the quality of the educational process and achieving academic excellence.
