Costing 5.5 million Egyptian pounds... The President of Beni Suef University inaugurates two new clinics at the Faculty of Dentistry to serve the local community.

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, today inaugurated two new clinics at the Faculty of Dentistry to serve the local community, as part of the university’s role in enhancing health services provided to citizens within the Beni Suef community, at a cost of 5.5 million pounds. The inauguration was attended by Dr. Ahmed Fathallah, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Maha Abdel Qawi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Environmental Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hakim, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Nabil, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies, and Professor Mohamed Selim, General Secretary  of the University.

The university president explained that the two clinics contain 28 dental units, bringing the total number of specialized clinics within the college to 9 clinics with a capacity of 136 dental units. In addition, the two clinics contain a distinguished sterilization room and a high-quality air compressor room, which helps in speeding up the completion of cases. He pointed out that expanding the opening of dental clinics within the university is an important step to serve the community, as it contributes to providing specialized health care for the people of Beni Suef Governorate and neighboring governorates.

He added that these clinics constitute a practical training environment for dental students, which enhances their professional competence and gives them direct experience in dealing with real cases. The existence of these clinics also reinforces the role of the university as an educational and research institution with a community mission, combining academic education and community service in an integrated manner.

Dr. Ahmed Fathallah pointed out that the clinics are equipped with the latest medical devices and technologies according to the highest international standards, noting that this achievement reflects the college’s commitment to providing integrated health services to citizens, so that the university becomes a leading center that combines academic education and community service at the same time.

During the visit, the university president inspected the "Little Smiles" clinic, which is scheduled to open upon completion of all necessary preparations. This specialized clinic serves children with special needs and includes operating rooms, recovery rooms, and sterilization rooms.

Dr. Ahmed Fathallah also honored Dr. Tarek Ali, the university president, and Mr/ Mohamed Selim, the university general secretary-, for their significant efforts in opening the two clinics and supporting the college.
