President of Beni Suef University: The Agricultural Sciences Sector Committee praises the advanced research equipment at the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute

Today, Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced that the Medical and Aromatic Plants Research Institute at the university received an official delegation from the Agricultural Sciences Studies Sector Committee headed by Dr. Ayman Abu Al-Hadid, former Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of the Agricultural Studies Sector Committee, and Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, The former Vice President of Ain Shams University  and Secretary of the Committee, in the presence of Dr. Mumtaz Hegab, Dean of the Institute, and Dr. Abd Allah Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.
 For his part, Dr. Mansour Hassan explained that the visit comes within the framework of the committee’s interest in learning about the institute’s research capabilities, the regularity of the study and the quality of the educational process in it. The activities of the visit began with an inspection tour inside the institute to see the student and research laboratories and the teaching halls. At the institute, they discussed the faculty members and students about their research topics, then the committee held a meeting with the institute’s council.
The university president added that the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute is the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East, as it was established to become a distinguished academic research institute and a pioneer in medicinal and aromatic plants research at the local and international levels.
For his part, Dr. Mumtaz Hijab, Dean of the Institute, reviewed some of the Institute’s achievements during the past two years since its operation and the start of the study, the most important of which was obtaining some research projects, forming research partnerships with various parties and cooperating with various sectors in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Prof. Mansour Hassan, President of the University to pay attention to marketing Research services at the institute to serve the community, such as providing scientific consultations and laboratory analyzes.
