Beni Suef University President issues a decision appointing Dr. Mohamed El-Farran as Advisor to the University President for Innovation Affairs

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, issued today Decision No. 2981 appointing Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Mohamed Youssef El-Farran, Lecturer at the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology, as Advisor to the University President for Innovation Affairs.

The University President explained that the position of Advisor for Innovation Affairs is a vital role that reflects the university’s commitment to adopting and promoting a culture of innovation across various fields of education, scientific research, and community service. It embodies the university’s vision to support creativity, stimulate innovative solutions to societal challenges, and contribute to building a university environment that fosters entrepreneurship by supporting innovators and researchers, facilitating cooperation with industrial and research institutions, and providing incubators and innovation centers. This role further enhances the university’s position as a leading educational institution contributing to sustainable development.

It is worth noting that Dr. El-Farran obtained his PhD in Aerospace Engineering in 2007, followed by postgraduate studies in Business Administration with a specialization in Innovation Management in 2010. He also has extensive academic and professional experience, including serving as a member of the Advisory Board of the Digital Egypt Innovation Center at the Ministry of Communications; former Director of Business Development at the Innovators Support Fund, Ministry of Higher Education; member of the Innovation Board at Mansoura University; Innovation Consultant at El-Sewedy University of Technology; Deputy Director of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Center at Zewail City; former Technology Transfer Expert for GIZ under the Ministry of Industry; Entrepreneurship Consultant at the National Telecom Institute, Ministry of Communications; Deputy Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee at the Egyptian African Businessmen’s Association; and Director of the Egyptian Engineering Solutions Business Incubator.
