In partnership with the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, and Clarivate.
The Fund believes that innovation is the engine of development, and that protecting intellectual property rights is the basis for the success and continuity of creativity. Therefore, the “Protect” initiative was designed to be a shield that protects ideas and innovations, and to ensure Egypt’s progress in global innovation indicators, as well as to ensure the full benefit from creative efforts.
The "Protect" initiative provides a comprehensive package of services aimed at protecting ideas and fostering innovation, including:
• Specialized legal support: Free consultations and comprehensive legal guidance on patent registration mechanisms, intellectual property rights, and the protection of trademarks and industrial designs.
• Coverage of drafting and registration costs: Full support to cover the costs of drafting patents and local intellectual property registration fees (according to the specified terms and conditions).
• Coverage of international registration costs: Full support to cover international PCT registration fees
• Intensive training workshops: Specialized training programs to promote awareness of the importance of intellectual property, how to protect it, and how to market it effectively.
• Connecting with experts and investors: Opportunities to connect with a network of experts, consultants, and investors interested in supporting promising innovations.
