Internal Regulation


Article (1): Description of the Institute:


1. Name of Institute: Technical Institute of Nursing



2. The Institute shall be considered one of the educational institutions attached to the Egyptian universities, the Ministry of Higher Education or the Ministry of Health, and shall be supervised by the University's Nursing College or its educational institution in the absence of a nursing college.


3. A director is appointed for a period of three years, renewable once, on the nomination of the Board of Directors of the Institute, taking into account that he holds at least the doctorate degree in nursing.


4. A director is assigned to each program carried out at the Institute.


5. The Director of the Institute shall discharge his affairs within the limits of the policy prescribed by the Board of Directors in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations in force in the educational institution of the Institute.


6. The Board of Directors of the Technical Institute for Nursing is headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing or the educational institution affiliated with the Institute in the absence of a nursing college






Article (2) The Board of Directors of the Institute


   


The Board of Directors of the Institute shall be as follows:


1. Dean of the Faculty of Nursing or educational institution affiliated with the Institute in the absence of a nursing college.


2. Director of Technical Institute of Nursing.


3. Program managers that are implemented in the Institute (Tigris - Specialized)


4. Under Secretary of Technical Institute of Nursing.


5. A member of the teachers at the Institute.


6. Director of nursing in the hospital affiliated to the educational institution.


7. One of the public figures interested in nursing (as members from abroad and appointed for one year renewable).






The Board of Directors of the Institute shall meet on a monthly basis. An emergency council may also be convened if necessary. The Council shall have the authority to set the general policy for the administration of the Institute's administrative, financial and administrative affairs, as follows:






1. Study System Institute:


Presenting and discussing the educational and training plans for the three programs.


B) Approval of external assignments


C- Approval of the teaching staff in the vocational and vocational programs.






2. Examinations:


(A) Setting up and following up the regulations on exams.


B - Adoption of the results of the examinations.






3. Admission of students:


A - Determine the number of students who accept the Institute in each academic year and other programs


(B) The formation of the committee that supervises the standardized tests for admission.






4 - Presentation, discussion and adoption of the administrative and financial decisions of the Institute and its programs






Article (3): Educational programs implemented in technical institutes for nursing and duration of study:



1. Technical Diploma Program for Nursing: The program is implemented over two academic years in addition to the compulsory training period, 36 hours per week for six months. English is the language of study except for courses taught in Arabic.


2. Bridging Program for Diploma of Technical Institutes of Nursing: The program is implemented over 3 semesters for one year (12 months). In addition to the compulsory training period of 36 hours per week for six months.


3. Specialized Diploma Program: The program is implemented over two academic years in addition to the compulsory training period, 36 hours per week for six months.


Article (4): Degrees


The Technical Institute of Nursing affiliated to nursing colleges grants the following scientific degrees:


4. Diploma of Technical Institute of Nursing


5. Diploma of the bridging program to obtain the Diploma of Technical Institute of Nursing


6. Specialized Diploma in Nursing


 


Article (5): Admission Requirements


First: General conditions for acceptance and registration procedures for the Diploma of the Technical Institute of Nursing:


Students are admitted to the Technical Institute of Nursing under the following conditions:


1. Holders of a high school certificate (scientific science division) or equivalent.


2. Graduates of the schools of health services assistants who received 85% and not more than 5% of the number of admissions to the Institute


3. Studying English (first or second language).


4. Pass the medical examination and standardized tests approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.


5. Apply for admission to the Institute through the Coordination Office for Admission to Universities in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Supreme Council of Universities.


6. Foreign students shall accept the same general conditions to accept their Egyptian counterparts according to the rules established by the Supreme Council of Universities


7. Students who are transferred shall be admitted according to the rules and regulations established by the Supreme Council of Universities






Second: General Conditions for Admission and Registration Procedures for the Diploma of the Bridging Program:


1. The student must have a diploma in secondary schools for nursing or equivalent.


2. English is one of the languages ​​studied.


3. Age: 45 years maximum


4. Pass the medical examination and standardized tests approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.


5. Provide good conduct and conduct


6. Submit a certificate of military treatment for males or exemption for those who reached the age of recruitment






Third: General Conditions of Admission and Registration Procedures for Specialized Diploma in Nursing:


1. The student must have a Diploma of Technical Institute of Nursing or equivalent to a good degree


2. English is one of the languages ​​studied.


3. Have spent 6 months training period (concession) in a recognized hospital


4. Pass the medical examination and standardized tests approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.


5. Provide good conduct and conduct


6. Submit a certificate of military treatment for males or exemption for those who reached the age of recruitment


7. Approval of the employer






Article (6): The study system






First: The system of study for obtaining the diploma of the Technical Institute of Nursing:







The school system in the program provided by the Technical Institute of Nursing to obtain the technical diploma for nursing according to these regulations on the system of teams study


1. The student must successfully pass all courses.
4. The theoretical study shall be for two days a week in a manner that does not contradict the regular study dates of the Institute


5. The laboratory exercises are conducted in the nursing skills labs in the college or institute, and the practical exercises are carried out in the university hospitals or health institutions affiliated with the institute






 Article (7) Attendance:



1. The student's attendance should not be less than theoretical lectures, practical lessons and practical training in accordance with the system approved by the Board of Directors of the Institute for 75% of the total hours of teaching any course.


2. If the percentage of the Board of Directors of the Institute exceeds the prescribed percentage of the Institute's Board of Directors, it shall decide to prevent the student from entering the end-of-term examination after taking successive warning procedures for the student.






3. Dropout:


(A) A student shall be considered off-duty if he is absent without an acceptable excuse.


B- A student may drop out of study with an excuse accepted by the Board of Directors of the Institute and the College for one semester or more


 (Up to two years).


(C) A student shall be dismissed from the Institute if he / she ceases to study without an excuse accepted by the Board of Directors of the Institute.


 D- The student may apply to stop the registration of the Institute according to the conditions and regulations governing it.


 E. The student shall not be separated except with the approval of the Board of Directors of the Institute.






4. Re-enrollment of the student






If the student is dismissed and canceled due to the exhaustion of the repetition times, the board of directors of the Institute may re-register him as a student from abroad and attend the practical training, provided that the student pays the prescribed fees for re-registration.






 Article (8): Examinations:


1- The examinations shall be held after the end of the semester study. The student shall take the exam in the courses that will be completed by the end of the semester according to the approved schedules.



2 - The student must meet the attendance rate not less than 75% may be denied the student to enter the examination in the following cases:


1. Failure to meet the required attendance.


B. Retention in the work of the year and practical exercises for nursing courses, estimated at 60%. (If the student received less than 60% in the grades of the work of the year and practical training)


3. If the student submits an excuse accepted by the Board of Directors of the Institute prior to the commencement of the examinations for not taking the exam, the student will be admitted in the following year, while retaining the assessment.


4- The student is transferred to the second group if he fails in two courses at the most theoretical subjects for applicants to obtain the diploma of the Technical Institute of Nursing.


5 - Transfer the student to the next semester if he failed in two courses at most of the theoretical subjects for applicants to obtain the Diploma of the specialized program and Diploma of the Bridging Program


6 - In the case of failure of students in nursing courses, the return of the course and attendance.


7 - If the student does not receive 30% of the degree of written test in one of the decisions does not monitor the practical grades and work of the year and is considered a failure in the decision.






Article (9) Evaluation of Student Performance in Courses:




1 - Evaluate the performance of the student in the courses and the student's assessment is calculated in the courses as follows:




A- For courses with a success of 50%:

From 75 to less than 85 Very good


From 65 to less than 75 good


From 50 to less than 65 is acceptable


Less than 50 deposits






B- For courses in which the degree of success of the student is 60%:


In percentage


More than 85 Excellent


From 75 to less than 85 Very good


From 65 to less than 75 good


From 60 to less than 65 acceptable


Less than 60 precipitation






2. Practical and annual work and periodic or quarterly examinations held during the semester.


3. Written and practical tests held at the end of the semester.


4. If one of the courses requires a written and practical test, the student's assessment is estimated by the total of the written and practical test scores in addition to the work of the year.


5. If the student is absent from the written examination in any course without an approved excuse, he is absent in the course.


6. The student's graduation certificate shows the grades that he obtained along with the general graduation certificate.






Article (10) Graduation Requirements:




First: Requirements for obtaining the degree of technical diploma in nursing are:


1 - Passing the student successfully courses required for graduation distributed over two years of study.


2. After completing the second year successfully, the students will perform six months of mandatory training (36 hours per week) in the university hospitals, hospitals of the Ministry of Health and Education and health institutions under the supervision of the institute administration.






Second: The requirements for obtaining the diploma of the technical institute from the nursing program in nursing are:


1. Successful completion of the course (three semesters), equivalent to the number of hours required for graduation distributed over the year.


2 - spend six months compulsory training (excellence) rate of 36 hours per week






 Third: The requirements for obtaining a specialized diploma in nursing are:


1 - Passing the student successfully courses, the equivalent of the number of hours required for graduation distributed over two years.


2 - spend six months compulsory training (excellence) rate of 36 hours per week






Article (11)


1- The student who has been transferred from some courses may be exempted if he / she is successful in passing these tests. The success rate should not be less than 60% in the nursing and medical courses and 50% in the supporting courses.


2. The student shall apply the rules of the University Organizing Law / Ministry of Higher Education in case of re-registration and conversion.






Article (12): The discipline of students


- The rules and regulations organized by universities / Ministry of Higher Education shall apply in this regard.


- The Disciplinary Committee for Students consists of:


1- Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute or his representative


2. Director of the Institute

3. The oldest members of the Board of Directors


4- Representative of legal affairs in the college / educational institution






Article 13: Privilege Program


Students spend each six-month compulsory training program (Franchise Program) planned and implemented by the Institute's management and administration


Both the program and the specialized program






Article (14)


This regulation shall be applied after approval by the Supreme Council of Universities and issuance of the ministerial decision in accordance with the rules and regulations governing the Supreme Council of Universities / Ministry of Higher Education, in which no provision is made in these regulations to the new students and the previous regulations shall continue to apply to the old students until graduation.






Article (15): Study schedules


The study schedules attached to this regulation show the theoretical and practical courses, the number of hours of each course, the number and type of examination hours and the distribution of grades with each course.






Article (16) Code of Courses:




The courses give a code consisting of three separate or consecutive letters expressing the code of the course. The number of hundreds refers to the academic year in which the course is presented, the number of scores to the semester in which the course is offered, and the number of the students to the course number.
