Renewing the appointment of Dr. Osama Shalabya, to act as the Dean of Faculty of Navigation and Space Technology

Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, issued Decision No. (1199), to renew the appointment of Dr. Osama Mahmoud Abdel-Rahman Shalabya to carry out the work of Dean of Faculty of Navigation and Space Technology for a year.
It is worth noting that Dr. Osama Shalabya ??obtained a Bachelor of Science majoring in astronomy in 1982, then he obtained a master’s degree from Cairo University in astrophysics in 1988, and then obtained a doctorate from the Astronomy Laboratory from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands in 1995.
He was promoted in academic positions until he reached the rank of Professor of Astronomy, Space and Meteorology in 2007 at Cairo University, then head of the Astronomy and Space Sciences Department at the Faculty of Science, Cairo University in 2018.
Then he was appointed a member of the National Committee for Astronomy and Space Sciences at the Academy of Scientific and Technological Research, then a member of the Council for Space Science and Remote Sensing Research at the Academy of Scientific and Technological Research, then a member of the Promotion Committee of the National Institute of Astronomical and Geophysical Sciences, then a visiting professor at the University of Ohio, USA, and Nagoya University In Japan, and at Hokkaido University in Japan, and Seoul University in South Korea.
Dr. Osama Shalabya ??was awarded the Knight Medal of the second class from the Prime Minister of France, and the Dr. Mahmoud Khairy Prize in Astronomy from the Academy of Scientific Research.
