Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Navigation Sciences and Space Technology confirmed through a scientific report that there are no apparent risks from the solar eclipse, which is expected to occur on the eighth of this April.
The university president explained that the college is working to increase astronomical awareness and keep up with global events, as well as training students through the use of the college’s unique equipment that keeps pace with the latest global telescope and telescope equipment, Pointing out that a solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between it and the earth during its rotation, thus blocking sunlight from areas on the earth where the moon casts its shadow on the surface of the earth.
Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the College, confirmed that there are no risks from the phenomenon of a solar eclipse, as it is a recurring astronomical phenomenon in different regions on the surface of the Earth, and that what is being circulated on pages and accounts on social networking sites in several languages around the world are false claims about this expected eclipse, Including that it will take three days during which the earth will be immersed in complete darkness. But these claims are wrong and the eclipse will only take a few minutes.
