Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Mass Communication organized a workshop entitled "Professional journalistic coverage of Arab and international events" under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Sayyid, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Mona Hashem, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, in which Ms. Sarah Abu Shadi, Head of the International and Arab Affairs Department on the Masrawy website gave a lecture.

The workshop, organized by the Journalism Department under the supervision of Dr. Fatma Fayez, Head of the Department, dealt with the definition of the journalistic story and how to write it, as it is a journalistic tool that is concerned with the human experience and focuses primarily on the details, description, and what is behind the news, the difference between the journalistic story, the news story, and the news report, and how to make a story from an external event, some examples of stories that won several local and Arab awards were also presented.
