Beni Suef University Council agrees to organize a number of awareness activities at the Medical and Aromatic Plants Research Institute

The Beni Suef University Council, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, agreed, in its 232nd session, to organize an awareness symposium entitled “The Use of Medical and Aromatic Plants in Therapeutic Services” at the Institute of Medical and Aromatic Plants in cooperation with the College of Nursing. The symposium is directed at faculty members, the supporting staff, postgraduate research students, and the final teams of the various university colleges, where faculty members from the Chemistry Department lecture in it this came in the presence of vice presidents of the university   , college deans, and faculty member
The university president added that the council also agreed to hold a course on “Extraction and analysis of genetic material and proteins of medicial and aromatic plants” in the research laboratory of the Department of Biotechnology for medicial and aromatic plants

It is noteworthy that the Institute of Medical and Aromatic Plants Research at Beni Suef University is the first of its kind in this field in Egypt and the Middle East. Its establishment came after the governorate’s excellence in the production of medical and aromatic plants by more than 40% nationwide, with the aim of developing production and preparing Qualified scientific cadres to meet the needs of the labor market and build partnerships with exporters and workers in the field of producing medical and aromatic plants, provide scientific consultations, and train students and those who interested in working in this field
