Developmental Social Work Beni Suef university organized an awareness seminar entitled “Empowering Women: Our Path Toward Sustainable Family Development.”

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali , Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Developmental Social Work, in collaboration with Students for Egypt , organized an awareness seminar entitled “Empowering Women: Our Path Toward Sustainable Family Development.”
The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Ibrahim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hendawy Abdel-Lahi Hassan , Dean of the Faculty; and was prepared and implemented by Dr. Mohamed Saad El-Sherbiny , Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Hanan Ashry , Director of the Problem-Monitoring Unit and Head of the Group Work Department at the Faculty; Dr. Nermeen Mahmoud , Rapporteur of the National Council for Women; and Dr. Mokhles Ramadan Bileih , Student Activities Coordinator at the Faculty.The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The University President stated that the seminar comes within the framework of the faculty’s efforts to enhance community awareness of the vital role of women in supporting the family and contributing effectively to achieving sustainable development. He emphasized that this event aligns with modern approaches that highlight the necessity of involving women in all aspects of economic and social life. Through this initiative, the faculty aims to provide a platform for dialogue that reflects the challenges and opportunities related to women’s empowerment.
Dr. Tarek Ali also affirmed that the seminar aims to exchange ideas and experiences on how to improve women's conditions and strengthen their capabilities. The seminar will additionally address the strategies required to support the role of women as a key element in building a cohesive society capable of facing challenges.
The University President added that this initiative is part of the university’s vision to support sustainable development by encouraging women to play an active and positive role in advancing the family and society as a whole. The university continues to promote effective participation by women and to provide an enabling environment that supports their empowerment across various fields.
