Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, announced the honoring of the delegation from the Faculty of Developmental Social Work who participated in the Third International Scientific Conference of the Delta Higher Institute for Social Work in Mansoura, held under the title: *“The Future of the Professional Identity of Social Work and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges.”* The recognition comes in appreciation of their active participation in the conference activities and their role in managing its scientific sessions.

The Faculty of Developmental Social Work was represented at this scientific event by:
• **Dr. Hendawy Abdel-Lahi Hassan**, Dean of the Faculty, who served as a discussant in the main panel session, which featured five research papers authored by professors from Southern Illinois University in the United States.
• **Dr. Sherif Sanousi**, Professor in the Fields Department, who served as rapporteur of the second research session.
• **Dr. Fadl Mohamed Ahmed**, Vice Dean of the Faculty, who also served as a discussant in the second research session.

Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that the conference’s scientific themes were broad and diverse, addressing key topics such as: Social Work and Societal Issues 2030, Social Work and Sustainable Development, Social Work and Psychological and Social Counseling, Social Marketing, and the future of social work practice with individuals, groups, and communities using artificial intelligence applications.

The themes also included: the future of social work education amid digital transformation, modern trends in social planning, ethical issues and professional challenges related to the use of artificial intelligence, the role of social work in achieving national initiatives and social protection programs, in addition to cybersecurity in social care institutions.

The University President clarified that this participation reflects Beni-Suef University’s commitment to strengthening its academic and research presence and engaging with contemporary issues related to the development of the profession—especially those connected to artificial intelligence applications and modern social work practices. This is achieved by enhancing scientific partnerships and enabling faculty members to participate actively in academic forums, allowing for the exchange of expertise with participating institutions and the development of new research collaborations.

He added that the Faculty aims, through this participation, to align its educational and research programs with the requirements of digital transformation and Egypt’s Vision 2030, and to affirm the evolving identity of social work in light of rapid technological advancements.
