Beni Suef University’s College of Developmental Social Work Organizes Educational Visit to the National Planning Institute in Cairo

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the College of Developmental Social Work organized an educational visit to the National Planning Institute in Cairo. The initiative was supervised by Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hendawy Abdel Lahi Hassan, Dean of the College, with executive oversight by Dr. Fadl Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

Dr. Tarek Ali highlighted that organizing such educational visits reflects the university’s commitment to meeting the requirements of the undergraduate curriculum and integrating academic knowledge with practical applications in national institutions. He also emphasized the university’s focus on exposing students to strategic institutions in the country, providing training and knowledge opportunities that enhance their research and field skills, and familiarizing them with the role of scientific planning in achieving sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

During the visit, the Director of the National Planning Center welcomed the student delegation and presented an introductory film covering the institute’s establishment, departments, administrative structure, vision, mission, and major research contributions supporting national development plans. The program also included a guided tour of the institute’s facilities, including the scientific library, media studio, and several specialized departments, providing students with insight into the research environment and the methodologies for preparing planning studies.

Dr. Hendawy Abdel Lahi praised the students’ enthusiasm for benefiting from the visit, noting that such activities strengthen their practical skills and cultivate genuine professional awareness. The students expressed their satisfaction with what they observed at the institute and requested the organization of similar educational programs in the future, highlighting their positive impact in linking academic studies with the labor market and national planning.

At the conclusion of the visit, the students extended their gratitude to Dr. Tarek Ali and the university leadership for their continuous support of student activities and practical training programs, which contribute to preparing qualified professionals capable of keeping pace with scientific and professional developments.
