A delegation from Beni Suef University made a field visit to the West Cairo Air Base.

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the leadership of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, in cooperation with the Military Education Department and the faculties of Beni Suef University, organized a field visit to the West Cairo Air Base, under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and in the presence of Brigadier General Pilot A.H./Sultan Mohamed El-Desouki, Commander of the Base, Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Department, a number of officers of the Air Base, members of the university's teaching staff, and the participation of the faculties of Navigation Science and Space Technology, Technology and Education, and Early Childhood Education, within the framework of the university's keenness to enhance the spirit of loyalty and belonging among students

The student delegation toured the base, followed by a lecture and a detailed explanation of the pivotal role of the Egyptian Air Force in protecting Egyptian national security and safeguarding the country's borders. The lecture also reviewed the most important missions and combat operations in which the air formations stationed at the airbase participated, particularly during the state's efforts to combat terrorism in Sinai

Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized the university's commitment to raising student awareness, fostering a sense of belonging and loyalty to the nation, and instilling a spirit of patriotism. He noted that the visit aimed to introduce students to the importance of studying military history, as well as to educate them about the role of the Air Force within the Egyptian state

The university president commended the ongoing efforts of the General Command of the Armed Forces in the areas of development and modernization, emphasizing that such visits effectively contribute to raising awareness among students about the role of state institutions in protecting the nation and building its future

For their part, the student delegation expressed their happiness, gratitude, and thanks to the Air Force for their warm hospitality and continuous attention. They also expressed their admiration for what they saw at the airbase and for the impressive equipment and history of the Egyptian Air Force that they learned about
