An important announcement

The Academy of Science Research and Technology announces that as of today, the Green Innovation Call has been launched under the National Innovation Gateway Initiative, to support scientific research-based sustainable innovation solutions and to boost the transformation towards a green economy.

The initiative aims to:

• Linking scientific research outputs to practical applications that have economic and social impact

• Encouraging clean technologies and efficient resource management

• The reduction of negative environmental impacts is in line with the State’s vision for sustainable development

Priority areas include:

• New and renewable energy

• Waste Management and the Circular Economy

• Water and sewage treatment

• Sustainable agriculture and food security

• Environmentally friendly materials and clean techniques

Target categories:

• Researchers and faculty members

• Multidisciplinary scientific research teams

• Startups based on scientific research outputs in environmental spheres

Projects are evaluated according to innovation standards, environmental impact, technical and economic significance, and the potential to convert outputs to sustainable products or services.
