Beni Suef University Council agrees to hold a conference on “Role of Interdisciplinary Science in Industry Development ” at the Faculty of Graduate Studies

The Council of Beni Suef University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, approved, in its 207th session, that the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Advanced Science organizes its scientific conference entitled “Role of Interdisciplinary Science in Industry Development” next May. This was in the presence of university's vice presidents, deans of faculties, and members of the council.
The university president stressed that interdisciplinary science is one of the most important trends in international and Arab universities because of its importance in solving real problems through the integration of more than one scientific discipline, explaining that these programs fit the needs and requirements of the current labor market, and work to remove the barriers that exist between theoretical knowledge and application. Hence holding the conference is important to link industry’s needs with scientific and research aspect and to develop students’ inter-thinking skills, especially, the College of Graduate Studies is one of the unique colleges of its kind at the level of Egyptian universities and the first college specialized in Egypt, the Arab world and Africa in the field of advanced science.
 The university president called for the need to develop the industry and its related science and technology, because it is reflected in all aspects of life, and helps in making new patterns of culture, politics and economy, in addition to employment skills and demand on the labor market, which enhances the role of industry in building societies by increasing work opportunities and use of modern technology.
