Beni Suef University Council honors the Department of Theater and Drama for winning third place as the best theatrical show at the Reading Theater Festival

Beni Suef University Council, headed by Dr. Mansour Hassan, University President, in its 227th session, honored the Department of Theater and Drama at the University’s Faculty of Arts, after they won third place as the best theatrical show in the Theatrical Reading Festival, which was organized by the Academy of Arts in partnership with the Spanish Cultural Institute in Cairo, in the presence of the university’s vice presidents and deans of colleges and council members.

Dr. Mansour Hassan congratulated the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Head of the Department of Theater and Drama, and the students, while the festival was held on the stage of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts at the Academy of Arts in Cairo. The Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Cairo, the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Alexandria, and the theater departments of the Faculties of Arts at Beni Suef, Helwan, Alexandria, Ain Shams, and Minya Universities participated in the festival. 

It is noteworthy that the theatrical performance was supervised by Dr. Omar Farag, Head of the Department, written by Prosper Mérimée, directed by Fadi Ezzat Saad, and starring students Marina Abdel Masih Riyad, Nada Jaber Ali, Sarah Hussein Ibrahim, Aliaa Essam Ali, Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed, Ali El Din Imad, Ziad Ahmed Sayed, Asaad Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Ahmed Abdel Wahab, Shahad Fathi Farag, Khaled Muhammad Ali, Basmala Walid Eid, and Maysoon Kamal El Din Abdel Fattah.
