Under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of the University, the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Beni Suef University organized a field visit to the headquarters of the Information and Decision Support Center affiliated with the Cabinet. The visit was supervised by Dr. Najah Al-Rayes, Dean of the Faculty, and a student delegation of 50 male and female students.
This visit comes within the framework of practical application of academic and theoretical studies, and the students’ interaction with practical reality, through learning about the nature of work in the center, which includes supervising the work of recording, organizing and indexing information, data, statistics, documents and programs in a way that facilitates access and utilization, and developing programs and plans that help provide researchers, statisticians and workers with the information they need in their research and studies and guiding them to references and publications related to their field of work.
The Center's administration welcomed the college delegation, where they were received by Dr. Khadija Arafa, Head of the Central Administration for Community Communication, and Dr. Yasser Darwish, Director of the Center's Public Relations Department. They emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Center and universities, as the Center represents one of the most important state institutions for providing accurate information, in addition to collecting, updating and amending data on a regular basis, so as to assist in making sound decisions in a timely manner and managing the information network.
The visit included a comprehensive presentation on the center's activities, giving students the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into how Egyptian government agencies gather information and make decisions.
