Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, chaired today the 16th meeting of the Steering Committee of Beni Suef National University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rasha Mohamed Tawfiq, Academic Vice President; Dr. Momtaz Hegab, Dean of the Engineering and Basic and Applied Sciences Sector; Dr. Ahmed El-Gendy, Dean of the Health Sciences Sector; Dr. Rasha Adel, Head of the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Sector; Dr. Doaa Ahmed, Head of the Education and Student Affairs Sector; and Mr. Mohamed Selim, Secretary-General of the University.

The council approved the formation of the Board of the Unit for Combating Violence and Discrimination. It also reviewed reports on preparations for the second semester, the regulations governing the secondment of faculty members, and the status of exam control committees, including the completion of grading and result processing.

The council approved a proposal from the Health Sciences Sector to form a committee responsible for preparing and equipping academic and research laboratories to ensure readiness for student training and practical sessions. The proposal also included identifying equipment, tools, chemicals, and other laboratory needs, as well as organizing awareness campaigns, workshops, and educational events in alignment with international observance days related to the sector's programs.

Additionally, the council reviewed a proposal from the Medical Sector to sign cooperation protocols with Beni Suef Specialized Hospital and the Beni Suef Health Directorate, outlining potential areas of collaboration. It also endorsed the participation of the Faculty of Dentistry as an academic partner in the 11th edition of the EDEX conference and exhibition.

Moreover, the council approved a proposal from the Engineering and Technology Sector regarding summer internships for students of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence as part of their field training course, as well as similar training for students from the Faculty of Media. The meeting also reviewed the new academic year plan of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, which includes activating a comprehensive evaluation form to be completed by sector deans and updating program and course specifications.
