Beni-Suef University Participates in Awareness Forum to Raise University Community Consciousness

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, a university delegation took part in the activities of the Awareness Forum for Raising University Community Consciousness, held within the framework of the National Project for Egyptian Family Development. The forum was organized under the auspices of the National Council for Women and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

The university delegation included Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit at the university, Dr. Esraa Mohamed Mohsen, Dr. Norhan Badr Sediq, Dr. Rehab Tharwat Mohamed, and student Ali Emad El-Din Ali, under the supervision of Dr. Abu El-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The forum was attended by Dr. Mona Hegres, Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, along with a number of university vice presidents, directors of Anti-Violence Against Women Units across Egyptian universities, and student representatives from each university. The event featured interventions and proposals from unit directors on strengthening efforts to combat violence against women.

The forum addressed topics related to the role of the Council in implementing the National Project for Family Development, as well as the role of the university community in achieving the project’s goals in cooperation with the National Council for Women and its branches in governorates. Discussions highlighted raising awareness and supporting Egyptian family development through family counseling, balanced upbringing, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and the strong role of universities in preparing and educating students, as they represent the foundation of future families.
