Beni Suef University Council approves holding a number of awareness events and seminars at the university's faculties and institutes.

Beni Suef University Council, chaired by Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of the University, approved, in its 250th session, the implementation of a number of awareness-raising events, activities, and seminars across the university's faculties and institutes. The event was attended by Dr. Abu Al-Hassan Abdel Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, deans of faculties, and council members.
The university president pointed out the importance of holding these events and seminars in enhancing community awareness among students and providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills. He emphasized the university's commitment to its role in serving the community and developing the environment by providing educational content that contributes to building students' personalities and enhancing their ability to address various social and health issues.
The university president explained that a seminar will be held at the Faculty of Social Development on "Preparations for the 6th of October Victory Celebration", as well as a seminar on "The Elderly at the Institute's Headquarters." Seminars will also be held at the Faculty of Education to discuss "The October Victories and Building Patriotism for Students," "Security and Intellectual Awareness, Confronting Rumors, Fourth and Fifth Generation Wars," and "The Mental Health of University Students Under Current Pressures."
In addition, the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants will host a Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Festival for its students from October 18 to 19, 2025. As part of its social activities, the College of Nursing will hold several celebrations, including the International Day of Older Persons on October 1, 2025, and World Mental Health Day on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in addition to a breast cancer awareness event.
The Faculty of Medicine will also organize a workshop on "Global Developments in Synthetic Drug Detection," while the Faculty of Education will offer workshops focusing on "Innovative Strategies in Digital Teaching," targeting faculty members to enhance digital education following the technological transformation.
As part of its social responsibility, the Faculty of Medicine will participate in organizing medical convoys in cooperation with the Geriatric Institute as part of the "Giving Egypt" initiative. The Faculty of Nursing will also organize a medical convoy to the village of Bayad al-Arab, east of the Nile in Beni Suef, to provide medical services to the local community.
In addition, the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute will organize its first scientific forum from October 28 to 29 in the conference hall, providing a platform for exchanging ideas and cutting-edge research. The Faculty of Medicine will also implement training programs and instructional courses, including a scientific day and a workshop for all critical care physicians, contributing to enhancing medical and research skills.
