A student delegation from Beni Suef University participates in the "Youth Vision to Confront Extremism" program at Al-Azhar Uni

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and within the framework of fruitful cooperation between the university, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif A student delegation from Beni Suef University participated in the "Youth Vision to Confront Extremism" program, hosted by the Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism. This event was held under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr/Mohamed Farouk,  General  Director of the Youth Care Department
The student delegation's participation aimed to enhance students' religious and societal awareness and develop their critical thinking skills to confront destructive ideas and intellectual extremism
The program included a lecture delivered by Dr. Hamada Shaaban, a professor at Al-Azhar University, entitled "Modern Methods of Recruiting Youth through Extremist Groups
Dr. Mohamed Abboud, a researcher at the Arabic Language Monitoring Unit at Al-Azhar Observatory, also gave a lecture on the concepts of freedom, atheism, and rational awareness in addressing religious information. He emphasized the importance of engaging with accredited Egyptian religious institutions to correct misconceptions and their role in addressing the negative phenomena prevalent in society, particularly atheism
The visit, organized by the Student Unions Department of the General Administration of Youth Care, concluded with a field trip to the Al-Azhar Global Monitoring Center to learn about the center's role, its departments, and its mechanisms of action in combating extremist ideology and instilling the values ??of tolerance and moderation.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Youth and Sports launched the "Youth Vision to Confront Extremism" program for students at Egyptian universities and higher institutes. The program aims to protect young people from falling into the clutches of extremist groups and to spread the culture of dialogue and enlightened thought
