“Social Work at Beni Suef University Organizes an Educational Seminar on ‘Mechanisms for Addressing Violence Among University Youth’ in Cooperation with the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and as part of ongoing efforts to promote a culture of nonviolence and raise preventive awareness within the university community, the “Students for Egypt” family at the Faculty of Developmental Social Work, in cooperation with the Anti-Violence Against Women Unit, organized an educational seminar titled *‘Mechanisms for Addressing Violence Among University Youth.’* The event was supervised by Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Hendawy Abdallah Hassan, Dean of the Faculty; and was prepared and executed by Dr. Fadl Mohamed Ahmed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. The seminar was delivered by Dr. Ghada Atef Sayed, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Director of the University’s Anti-Violence Unit, and Dr. Jomana Ramadan Abdullah, Lecturer of Law at the Faculty of Law and Deputy Director of the Anti-Violence Unit.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the seminar featured an in-depth discussion of the most common forms of violence among university youth, highlighting the key factors contributing to the phenomenon and outlining effective mechanisms for confronting and preventing it. He emphasized the pivotal role of the university’s Anti-Violence Units in providing awareness and support for all students. The event witnessed strong engagement from attendees, who stressed the importance of addressing such critical topics that contribute to creating a safe and motivating educational environment.
It is worth noting that the organization of this event came as part of the requirements of the Skills Training course, which helps equip students with practical experience in planning and managing various events and seminars.”
