Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, and as part of the university’s commitment to enhancing the cultural and intellectual dimension of student learning, the Faculty of Agriculture organized a field visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. The visit was supervised by Dr. Abou El-Hassan Abdel-Mawgoud, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Abdel Latif Hesham, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; and Dr. Mohamed El-Remaily, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Dr. Tarek Ali explained that organizing such field visits lies at the heart of the university’s strategy to integrate academic education with cultural and civilizational enrichment. He stressed that the visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum was far from a recreational trip; rather, it was “a valuable opportunity” for Agriculture students in particular to broaden their perspectives and move beyond the academic setting to engage firsthand with the treasures of Egypt’s ancient civilization.

He emphasized the importance of providing students with “a unique historical experience” surrounded by timeless antiquities that reflect the depth and authenticity of Egypt’s heritage—an experience that contributes to shaping a well-rounded student who is aware of their history and conscious of their responsibility toward the nation’s future. He further noted that the university will continue to support and intensify activities that serve community service and environmental development, through diverse cultural and educational programs targeting all faculties and student sectors.”
