Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Popular and Military Defense Forces— in cooperation with the Military Education Administration and the university’s faculties—organized a student visit to South Sinai. The visit was supervised by Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Administration at the university, and Lieutenant Colonel Taha Salah Matar, Deputy Director of the Administration.
The student delegation was accompanied by Dr. Hossam Al-Hawari, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Dr. Sherif Mamdouh, and a number of faculty members. The visit comes as part of the university’s efforts to instill and strengthen national identity among students and to deepen their sense of loyalty and belonging.
The program continued with a visit to the Governorate’s General Office, where the students met with Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, in the presence of the Deputy Governor and the Military Advisor. The visit aligns with the state’s plan to nurture loyalty and belonging among young people through hands-on experiences and exposure to national efforts in comprehensive development.
Dr. Tarek Ali emphasized that these visits are carried out in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to organize student tours to Sinai, with the aim of informing them about the scale of development and security efforts taking place there. The initiative seeks to enhance national awareness, foster belonging, and introduce students to Sinai’s tourist attractions, historical landmarks, and industrial and economic zones, all of which play a vital role in social, cultural, historical, and intellectual development and in advancing sustainable development.
The Acting President added that the university is committed to preparing a generation of youth capable of taking responsibility, proud of their homeland, and able to continue the path of comprehensive development by acquainting them with the remarkable national achievements realized in recent years—achievements that inspire pride and confidence.
The delegation also toured the National Emergency Network and received a briefing on major national projects within the governorate.
The visit concluded with tours of Sharm El-Sheikh Museum, Saint Catherine’s Monastery, the Great Transfiguration Project, Ras Mohammed Nature Reserve, the Old Market and Al-Sahaba Mosque, and the South Sinai Heritage Village.
