Beni Suef Tourism and Hotels participates in the first conference for the tourism and hotel sector at the Supreme Council of Universities

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels participated in the activities of the first conference of the Tourism and Hotels Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, which was launched under the title “The Tourism Industry and Tourism Education in Egypt” was held at the Jewel Sports City Resort And Spa Hotel. The delegation from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels included Dr. Nahla Mohamed Helmy, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Heba Allah Sobhy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Moawad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Farag, Head of the Department of Tourism Studies. The delegation’s participation came as part of the activities of the conference, which was held under the supervision of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Universities and the Tourism Sector Committee, to support the development of regulations and educational curricula to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market

Dr. Tariq Ali affirmed that the college's participation in this important national forum aligns with the university's strategy to connect academic education with the demands of the tourism and hospitality job market. He noted the university's commitment to enhancing the educational process and scientific research through such conferences, which chart a roadmap for curriculum development in accordance with the latest global trends. The university president also emphasized the importance of keeping pace with modern transformations in the tourism and hospitality industry, particularly in the areas of digitalization, sustainability, and artificial intelligence applications, to ensure the graduation of highly competitive and distinguished professionals

For her part, Dr. Nahla Mohamed Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, explained that the college's delegation actively participated in the dialogue sessions of four scientific committees, which included "Hotels and Hospitality, Tourist Guidance, Sustainable Tourism, and Tourist Transportation" She affirmed that the college fully supports the development of educational regulations in line with the Egyptian state's vision for developing the tourism sector, noting that the conference represented a golden opportunity to exchange scientific expertise and explore ways to integrate modern technology into the curriculum, thus achieving a qualitative leap in the level of Beni Suef's tourism and hotel graduates
