Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced the commencement of disbursement of the first installment of funding for research projects under the “Eighth Phase,” within the framework of the university’s strategy aimed at supporting innovation, enhancing scientific productivity, and providing all necessary facilities to researchers to enable them to implement projects that serve society and achieve sustainable development. This comes under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad, Director of the University Performance Development Center, and Dr. Sherif Ragab Al-Areed, Director of the Research Projects Support and Funding Office.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the university places scientific research at the top of its priorities as it represents the main pillar of cognitive and technological advancement. He noted that the approval of funding disbursement reaffirms the university’s commitment to motivating researchers to produce innovative applied research capable of addressing various societal challenges and supporting the state’s development plans, thus ensuring the continuity of the university’s scientific leadership.
He also emphasized that the approval granted last July to fund 13 distinguished research teams within this phase is not merely financial support, but rather a true embodiment of the university’s deep belief in the importance of investing in young minds and research cadres. He stressed that the university will spare no effort in providing all the necessary resources to ensure that these research projects see the light in a manner worthy of the name of Beni Suef University and that they effectively contribute to the comprehensive scientific renaissance witnessed by the country.
For her part, Dr. Abeer Sayed Moawad expressed her appreciation for the continuous support of the university leadership, affirming that the center constantly strives to provide a stimulating environment for scientific research, enhance the university’s academic ranking, and strengthen its developmental role at both the local and international levels.
