Beni Suef University Announces the Qualification of 5 Students to the Finals of the “Ibda’a 14” Festival in Fine Arts

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that five students from the University’s Fine Arts Team have advanced to the final round of the “Ibda’a 14” Festival for University Youth, which is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the Youth City in Abu Qir, Alexandria, under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports. This comes under the supervision of Dr. Hamada Mohamed, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and with the follow-up of the Artistic Activity Administration.

Dr. Tarek Ali explained that the qualification of Beni Suef University students to the final judging stages reflects the extent of the support the University provides to young talents, stressing that the festival is considered one of the most important cultural and artistic events that contribute to shaping students’ personalities and building their national awareness. He added that the University is proud of the qualified students, namely:
Ahmed Shawky Sayed and Amasy Hussein Taha in the field of Sculpture,
Harby Rabie Mohamed and Aya Abbas Hassan in the field of Oil Painting,
Youssef Adel Abdel Azim in the field of Graphic Design,
Wishing them success in the final judging stage, which will be held from January 26 to 28.

For his part, Dr. Hamada Mohamed expressed his happiness with this honorable achievement, noting that the competition was initially held at the University level, during which 15 works were selected to participate. A specialized committee, including Dr. Mohamed Madi, Professor of Environmental Sculpture and Spatial Formation, carefully evaluated the artworks to choose the best ones to represent the University in this major national event.

In the same context, Captain Mohamed Farouk, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, affirmed that the administration spares no effort in providing all necessary facilities and support to the Fine Arts Team. He praised the role of the Artistic Activity Administration in nurturing creative students, following up on their training, and preparing their artworks in a manner befitting the name of Beni Suef University, to ensure strong competition and the achievement of top positions in the final stage in Alexandria.
