Beni-Suef University Records a Qualitative Leap and Publishes 1,765 Scientific Papers in International Journals in 2025

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni-Suef University, announced a remarkable achievement in the field of international publishing during 2025, as the number of internationally published research papers reached 1,765. This was stated in the annual report issued by the University’s International Publishing Office, under the supervision of Dr. Yasser Feleih, Director of the Office, and Dr. Ahlam Hashem Owais, Deputy Director, based on data from the Scopus and SciValg platforms.

The Acting President of the University explained that the report revealed a significant development in both the quantity and quality of published research compared to the previous year, which clearly reflects the success of the University’s ambitious strategy to strengthen its research presence on the global stage. According to the data, 984 papers were published in Q1 journals, representing a major leap in publishing in the highest-ranked international journals. The University also recorded a Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) of 2.03, nearly double the global average, indicating the strength and impact of its research within the scientific community.

He added that approximately 257 papers were ranked among the top 10% of the most influential research worldwide, in addition to 1,207 papers published in collaboration with prestigious international research institutions, reflecting the expansion of the University’s academic partnership network. Moreover, the H-Index rose to 94, which is an important indicator of the cumulative impact of research output. He affirmed that these results reflect the University’s success in adopting effective policies to support international publishing, enhance research collaboration, and achieve high quality in scientific production, in line with international standards and contributing to strengthening the University’s competitiveness in global rankings.
