Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, announced that the University has achieved a new scientific accomplishment added to its record in scientific research, as Dr. Ahmed Saleh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, obtained a Certificate of Deposit and Registration for a Computer Program from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for his innovative electronic program entitled:
“Psychological Assessment and Guidance Battery for Thoughts, Emotions, and Behavior among Adolescents”, under the supervision of Dr. Azza El-Gohary, Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
Dr. Tarek Ali explained that this innovation represents a qualitative leap in the field of electronic psychological assessment, noting that the program measures 25 different aspects of personality for the age group ranging from 12 to 23 years (from the preparatory stage to the university level). He emphasized that the University places great importance on scientific research that provides practical and technological solutions serving the community, pointing out that this work constitutes a strong addition to the Arabic psychological library and reflects the leadership of the University’s staff in integrating science with modern technology.
For her part, Dr. Azza El-Gohary, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, expressed her pride in this achievement accomplished by one of the faculty’s members, affirming that the program is distinguished by providing specialized guidance and counseling advice in both written and audio formats to address areas of weakness among adolescents. She also indicated that the Faculty supports all research aimed at enhancing the mental health of younger generations and promoting psychological and social adjustment within Egyptian families.
It is worth mentioning that the program provides a printed psychological report directed to both families and adolescents. It has been developed through a series of specialized psychological studies and has been officially accredited as a psychological measurement battery by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It is scheduled to be made available for community use in the near future through one of the specialized publishing houses.
