International achievements of Beni Suef University in scientific journal rankings (Q1)

Dr. Tarek Ali, Acting President of Beni Suef University, stated that the university's scientific journals have achieved an unprecedented academic accomplishment in the 2025 international rankings. The Beni Suef University Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences (BJBAS) successfully secured its place in the first quartile (Q1) of the global Scopus database, achieving a CiteScore of 4.9. The university president added that this excellence extended to the Clarivate global rankings with the ESCI index, where the journal recorded a JIF impact factor of 2.6 and a five-year cumulative impact factor of 2.7, thus enhancing the university's position as a global center for rigorous scientific research.

Dr. Tariq Ali explained that the university's excellence was not limited to international publications, but extended to its Arabic-language journals, with 20 of its scientific journals achieving a strong presence in the Arab Impact Factor (Arcif). He noted that the Journal of Politics and Economics topped the list with an impact factor of 2.4314, followed by the Journal of Accounting and Auditing of the Association of Arab Universities, and journals on childhood research and studies, education, information science, and special needs sciences. He emphasized that these results reflect the rich and diverse research output across the university's various faculties including  medicine , agriculture , law, arts, and social work.

Dr. Yasser Gaber, the university's scientific advisor, affirmed that this methodology in managing scientific journals, and the strict adherence to international arbitration standards, contributed to the selection of the university's journals from among more than 1,200 submissions that underwent evaluation and review. He pointed out that the stability of the publishing process in specialized fields such as "Elderly Science" and "Tourism and Archaeology" provides a reliable database for researchers and international institutions. He emphasized the university's continued support for the scientific publishing system to enhance the quality of scientific research outputs in a way that serves the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's Vision 2030.
