Beni Suef University Delegation Conducts Field Visit to the Egyptian Paratroopers to Strengthen Students’ National Awareness and Sense of Belonging

Under the patronage of Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University, and within the framework of the university’s commitment to developing students’ awareness, fostering national belonging, and introducing them to the achievements and high capabilities of the Egyptian Armed Forces and their role in safeguarding the nation’s resources and sanctities, the university organized a field visit to the Egyptian Paratroopers.
The visit was coordinated in cooperation with the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command, the Military and National Education Department at the university, and several faculties. The delegation was attended by Dr. Mervat Refaat, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Education; Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Department at the university; a number of faculty members; and a delegation of university students.
Dr. Tarek Ali affirmed that the Paratroopers units are among the shields of the Armed Forces, distinguished by advanced strategic thinking, planning, performance, and highly developed combat systems. He praised the paratroopers for their determination and perseverance in achieving the highest levels of combat readiness to carry out all assigned missions under various conditions.
He noted that the visit aligns with the university’s dedication to instilling values of loyalty and belonging among its students and raising awareness of the vital role played by the Armed Forces in protecting the homeland and preserving its capabilities.
The university president added that the day’s activities began with the reception of the university delegation and a lecture on the establishment and development of the Paratroopers units, followed by a visit to the historical hall showcasing the heroism and sacrifices of paratroopers. The delegation also toured the paratroopers’ airfield and the main parachute jumping wing. During the visit, students watched free-fall demonstrations, a detailed presentation on the history of the Egyptian Paratroopers and their most notable heroic missions in defense of the nation, as well as live displays of combat training exercises and the professional skills that distinguish the force’s personnel.
For his part, Colonel Khaled Nabil, Director of the Military Education Department, stated that the Egyptian Paratroopers represent a model of discipline and professionalism. He explained that what students witnessed reflects part of the daily training that demonstrates the forces’ readiness to confront any threat, enhances military awareness among university youth, and highlights the honorable national efforts exerted by the Armed Forces in protecting the country.
Students expressed their appreciation for the visit, which enabled them to learn about the distinguished history of the Paratroopers unit and the remarkable military capabilities of the Egyptian Army personnel. They conveyed their pride in the high level of training they observed firsthand and extended their salute to all those who safeguard the nation across Egypt.
At the conclusion of the visit, commemorative shields were exchanged and group photographs were taken.
