As part of the efforts to enhance the English language proficiency of students at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and under the patronage of:
His Excellency Professor Dr. Tarek Ali, President of Beni Suef University;
His Excellency Professor Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs;
Professor Dr. Nahla Mohamed Helmy, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels;
Professor Dr. Heba Allah Sobhy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs;
Associate Professor Dr. Wael Mohamed Abdel Nabi, Director of the Academic Divisions and Programs Unit at the Faculty;
A cultural seminar entitled “The English Language and the Advancement of the Egyptian Tourism Industry” was held yesterday, Tuesday, 17 February 2026.

The seminar addressed the art of dealing with tourists, the careful selection of hospitality vocabulary and appropriate welcoming expressions that reflect the country’s tourism culture and civilized conduct when communicating with visitors. It also highlighted the proper use of body language that conveys professionalism and refined behavior among tourism service providers.

The seminar was delivered by Mr. Maged Nady, Director of STEM International School, and former certified trainer for teaching English at the Egyptian Tourism Chambers Federation.

The event was attended by a number of students, most of whom are enrolled in the English Section at the Faculty.

The students expressed their great appreciation for the seminar and the significant benefit they gained from it. They also requested a series of more advanced cultural seminars related to the art of dealing with tourists, given their substantial importance in qualifying them for the tourism and hospitality labor market.
