President of Beni Suef University receives the Director of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology of the United Nations

Prof. Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, received today, Tuesday, Dr. Awni Muhammad Al-Khasawneh, Director-General of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia of the United Nations, based in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ammar Al-Sakji, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, and Professor Khaled Nasser Hussein, Deputy Director for Administrative Affairs. In the presence of Dr. Osama Shalabia, Dean of the College of Navigational Sciences and Space Technology.
The visit comes within the framework of activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the university and the regional center on the implementation of joint educational and research projects in the interest of building a new generation of young scientists, researchers and students.
For his part, Dr. Mansour welcomed the Director General of the Center and his accompanying delegation, pointing out that the cooperation between the two parties includes developing and building capacities in the field of space science and technology, remote sensing satellite technology and its applications, space technology and artificial intelligence, studies of the space environment and astronomy, communications and navigation systems. space, monitoring and control of climate changes, and information technology systems in the field of space science and technology, in addition to granting joint degrees of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees through the specialized academic departments.
