Beni Suef University participates in the awareness camp activities to build the capacities of units to combat violence against women

 Dr/Mansour Hassan, President of Beni Suef University, announced the participation of the university's anti-violence against women unit in the awareness camp activities. To build the units of  capacities of violence against women  and Egyptian university students, which is organized by Fayoum University in cooperation with the National Council for Women and the United Nations Population Fund during the period from 8 to 11 September, with the participation of 200 male and female students, representing the universities of Beni Suef, Fayoum, Tanta, and the Academy of Arts in Giza, in the presence of Dr. Ghada Atef, Director of the Unit to Combat Violence against Women at Beni Suef University, Professor Nermin Mahmoud, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in the governorate, and a number of university students
Dr. Mansour stressed that the goal of setting up the camp comes within the framework of cooperation between the National Council for Women and universities, regarding strengthening the role of universities, especially combating violence against women, to implement many activities within the university in order to support and empower women and girls with the aim of providing a safe educational environment on campus
The university president explained that the aim of establishing the unit is to ensure the provision of a safe and supportive educational environment for women and university girls free from violence and discrimination, in addition to implementing many activities related to combating violence against women, and activating the role of the executive committee to follow up on the efforts of ministries and government agencies related to the national strategy through the formation of working groups to follow up the implementation at the university level, in addition to organizing training courses to raise the capabilities of dealing with cases of violence, and training doctors to deal with victims of violence
