The Faculty of Nursing, Beni Suef University, under the patronage of Dr. Mansour Hassan, President of University, organized a symposium entitled “Using Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in Therapeutic Services” in cooperation with the Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, under the supervision of Dr. Sameh Al-Maraghi, Vice President of University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Nagi Muhaisen, Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Sameh Abu Zaid, Dean of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute, Dr. Hanan Al-Zabalawy Hassan, Vice Dean of the College of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ayat, Vice Dean of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. This was in the presence of a group of faculty members, supporting staff, and a number of researchers, students, and employees.

The university president pointed out that these scientific activities contribute to spreading awareness of the importance of benefiting from natural resources represented by local medicinal plants, especially since they have fewer therapeutic and preventive side effects than some chemical medicines.
The university president praised the efforts and achievements of the Faculty of Nursing at Beni Suef University in spreading awareness of the importance of medicinal plants and their therapeutic uses, noting that the symposium organized by the college in cooperation with the Institute of Medicinal Plants was an extension of its pioneering role in this field.
He added that the College of Nursing is constantly striving to raise the efficiency of health services, taking advantage of the competencies and capabilities available at the university, and cooperating with its various colleges and institutes.
